Before the D.

.

"This time tomorrow what will we know?
Well we still be here watching an in-flight movie show?"

"Then when the cops closed the fair,
I cut my long baby hair,
Stole me a dog-eared map
And called for you everywhere."

"An' I gaze back to the street,
The sidewalk and the sign,
And I'm one too many mornings
An' a thousand miles behind."

Logical structure, physical structure, conceptual structure, R&D... etc

Logical Structure

When you start to develop any static web site, generally the first thing to do is to design the logical structure of your site using a tree diagram. The reason for this type of diagram is based on the fact that web sites can be hierarchical: each main section can contain subsections, which can contain others, and so on.

Once the site structure is defined, then the page is created by inserting all the common graphic elements (logos, headings, footnotes etc.), the navigation menu and the specific content. This procedure poses a problem: adding or editing a menu entry means changing all the site pages. If there are only a few pages, the investment is limited, but when there are tens of pages the amount of time dramatically increases.

Instead, the structure is dynamically managed in eQuercus: with a few clicks and with no modification of the HTML code, you will be able to add, edit, move or eliminate entire sections from your site: all the changes will be immediately visible to your site’s users. The site structure, displayed using a simple tree diagram is composed of elements called "nodes" which identify the single menu entries. The following information can be configured at each node: the graphic appearance of the menu entry, the content type to connect, the number of contents (single or list) and the page responsible for dynamically displaying the menu and contents.
Other than the simple management of the structure and contents, the system offers another advantage: only one ASP page needs to be created for each layout type. The page will contain HTML code to represent the common graphic elements of the site and the "eQuercus - Library" functions which are used to dynamically generate the navigation menu and contents.

Ngụy Biện - Sự Gây Nhãng Trí: Câu Hỏi Phức

.

-------------------
Toán tử kết hợp

Bất kỳ hai mệnh đề P và Q nào cũng có thể được kết hợp, tạo ra mệnh đề phức hợp mới:

P và Q

Mệnh đề "P và Q" là đúng khi và chỉ khi cả P và Q đều đúng. Nếu không thì nó là sai.

Ngụy Biện - Sự Gây Nhãng Trí: Dốc Trơn Tuột

.

--------------
Toán tử điều kiện:

Bất kỳ hai mệnh đề P và Q nào cũng có thể được liên kết bằng một toán tử điều kiện, tạo ra một mệnh đề phức hợp mới:

Nếu P thì Q

Mệnh đề "Nếu P thì Q" là đúng khi và chỉ khi hoặc P sai hoặc Q đúng. Nó là sai chỉ khi P đúng và Q sai.

Ngụy Biện - Sự Gây Nhãng Trí: Sự Không Biết

.

It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

.

You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last.
But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast.
Yonder stands your orphan with his gun,
Crying like a fire in the sun.
Look out the saints are comin' through
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

The highway is for gamblers, better use your sense.
Take what you have gathered from coincidence.
The empty-handed painter from your streets
Is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets.
This sky, too, is folding under you
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

All your seasick sailors, they are rowing home.
All your reindeer armies, are all going home.
The lover who just walked out your door
Has taken all his blankets from the floor.
The carpet, too, is moving under you
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you.
Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you.
The vagabond who's rapping at your door
Is standing in the clothes that you once wore.
Strike another match, go start anew
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

-------------------------------------------
In for a penny, in for a pound...

If Napoleon had issued the following order to his troops before the retreat from Moscow, it would have been completely appropriate. Remember that his army retreated from a burning city, although there is some dispute as to whether it was the French or the Russians who set the place ablaze:

You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last.
But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast.
Yonder stands your orphan with his gun,
Crying like a fire in the sun....

and let's not forget the payoff lines:

Strike another match, go start anew
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

"Bleu" (blue) is (roughly) the French equivalent of the British Tommy's "mate": a term of comradely affection.

Dylan was certainly familiar with Napoleon's career. LARS gives us "Napoleon in rags" and "On the Road Again" on BIABH presents us with "a Napoleon Bonaparte mask".

When a man is cuckolded, he is presented with a set of horns. Reindeers have antlers. An army of cuckolds. Phew! No wonder the relationship didn't work out!

Eddie

-----------------------
The 14th Army had an animal-drawn transport company of 141 horses and 2 army reindeer companies totaling over 500 reindeer (a horse could carry 250 pounds, a reindeer 75 to 80 pounds). Since the animals were so important for tactical and logistic transport operations, Soviet planners established rear area and forward veterinary services for the hundreds of horses, reindeer, and dogs in the force. Dogs would detect wounded soldiers left on the battlefield. These casualties would then be removed on sleds, on litters, in flat-bottomed boats, or by horses or reindeer. Horses hauled the 76-mm pack guns and 120-mm mortars, reindeer the ammunition for both. The reindeer moved easily through their natural habitat, while the horses frequently lost their footing and had to be unloaded, put aright, and reloaded.

Ngụy Biện - Sự Gây Nhãng Trí: Song Đề Giả

.

---------------------
* (1): Toán tử "or"

Hai mệnh đề P và Q bất kỳ có thể được phân cách, tạo ra một mệnh đề phức hợp mới:
"P hoặc Q"

Mệnh đề "P hoặc Q" là đúng khi và chỉ khi hoặc P hay Q là đúng, là sai chỉ khi cả P và Q cùng sai.

Cảm tưởng, Ý tưởng, Cảm Xúc... etc

.

Emotion is more similar to conscious thought than feelings are to conscious thought. Although emotion and feeling can be described as unconscious thought, one of them is going to be more similar to conscious thought. Feelings are more like sensations, when you touch something you get a feeling. Therefore feelings are faster than emotions and thought, because when you touch something there is a slight delay before you can think of something about it (thought), or feel something deeply about it (emotion). Emotion is therefore just unconscious thought. Actually it would better be described as unconscious feeling (so a feeling is like a conscious emotion because you can "feel" it better and easier but emotion is a deeper, more unconscious experience similar to unconscious thought, but emotions are also more similar to conscious thought because thought is a deep experience while feelings are intense or shallow, but not deep).

Ngụy Biện - Sự Gây Nhãng Trí

.
I. Những Ngụy Biện Gây Nhãng Trí

- Song đề giả (dùng sai toán tử “or”)
- Suy luận từ sự không biết (3) (dúng sai toán tử “not”)
- Dốc trơn tuột (dùng sai toán tử “if-then”)
- Câu hỏi phức (dùng sai toán tử “and”)

----------

Liên hợp (and)
Liên phân (or)
Điều kiện (if-then)
Phủ định (not)
Điều kiện kép (if-and-only-if)

* (2): Mệnh đề (proposition)

Border of philosophy?

What is your answer to the question of the border of philosophy?

Lizbethrose: I'll start by asking you to define 'border' (which I know wasn't your word, but you tacitly agreed with it in your response to the op.) Do you mean 'border' or 'boundary?' I really don't like responding to a question with a question, Socratic though it may be, but I do think your answer to my question has a great deal to do with the meaning of your question.

'Border' and 'boundary' in one definition have similar meanings, both of which imply limitation of some sort. You say that Philosophy is a system of thought, limited, or 'bordered,' by reason. I understand your position, but I think it's sausage.

If thought is 'limited' by a system, (beyond the way our language 'systemizes' our thoughts) there would be no original, innovative thinking. If reason, as a border or boundary to thought, limited thought, there would be no original, innovative thinking.

You posit that A=A and start your logical train from there. To do so, you must first accept that A is true. To do that, you must first convince your readership that A is true.

See how it can become very circular--logically?

So, to finally answer your question--"whew"--(that's trying to shake off the 'sweat of my brow')--There in no 'border' to philosophy. In my opinion, of course.

Philosophy, in a lot of ways, is metacognition--thinking about how we think

Simon & Garfunkel - Cloudy

Cloudy
The sky is gray and white and cloudy,
Sometimes I think it's hanging down on me.
And it's a hitchhike a hundred miles.
I'm a rag-a-muffin child.
Pointed finger, painted smile.
I left my shadow waiting down the road for me a while.

Cloudy
My thoughts are scattered and they're cloudy,
They have no borders, no boundaries.
They echo and they swell
From Tolstoy to Tinker Bell.
Down from Berkeley to Carmel.
Got some pictures in my pocket and a lot of time to kill.

Hey sunshine
I haven't seen you in a long time.
Why don't you show your face and bend my mind?
These clouds stick to the sky
Like floating questions, why?
And they linger there to die.
They don't know where they are going, and, my friend, neither do I.

Cloudy,
Cloudy.
